BUILDING - Woodland contracts with Deephaven and Minnetonka for building inspection services. Please contact Teresa Pendleton at City Hall - 952-358-9935 building permit requirements.
**FIRE DEPARTMENT - Emergency 911. Non-emergency (952) 404-5337. Firefighting service is provided through the Wayzata Fire Department. The City charges for every call that the fire department responds to (whether the fire alarm call is real or an unintended false alarm).
HOMESTEAD - Homestead application forms are available at City Hall or click on the following link Homestead_Application. Along with your completed application, you will need to submit the conveyance document (deed) and SSN of all property owners.
PARKING ON CITY STREETS/PERMITS - Ordinances prohibit parking on City streets. The City has designated parking zones where parking is allowed provided a $5.00 permit is obtained in advance from the City. (Please see Frequently Asked Questions for additional information on permit parking in the City of Woodland.)
PERMITS - Required for building, remodeling, repairing, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and excavating. Please contact Teresa Pendleton at 952-358-9935 for information.

REFUSE - Residents contact their own garbage hauler.
RECYCLING - City Contracts with Waste Management (952) 890-1100.
→Recycling is collected every-other Thursday at your garage door.

SEPTIC SYSTEMS - A small portion of Woodland has municipal sewer. The remaining properties have private septic systems. Resident are required to maintain their own on-site septic system. VOTING - Polling place – 2860 East Road (private residence).
WATER - A small portion of Woodland has municipal water service. The majority of properties have private wells. Residents must maintain their own wells. Additional information on water can be found on the left side of your screen on the Sewer, Water, Septic, and Wells tab.
WETLANDS - There are extensive wetlands within the City and they are protected.

**The Wayzata Fire Department charges a minimum of $250 per call and $250 per each additional hour for fire calls or false alarms. Individual property owners are responsible for all charges incurred by the City for all calls or false alarms made to private property. Check with your insurance company about their policy for false alarms. Even if the call is immediately cancelled, firefighters may have already been dispatched and you will be billed.
